Für ein Comeback wäre es ja noch etwas früh, nachdem The White Stripes erst am 2.2.2011 ihre Auflösung bekanntgaben. Dafür gibt es gleich eine Reihe neuer Veröffentlichungen.
Wie man der Homepage von Jack Whites Label Third Man Records entnehmen kann, werden drei Specials erscheinen. Das Doppelalbum „Live in Mississipi“ liefert die Aufnahme des entsprechenden Konzerts aus dem Jahr 2007. Weitehin wird eine Live-DVD unter dem Namen „Under Moorhead Lights All Fargo Night“ veröffentlicht, mit Material von einem Minnesota-Auftritt in 2000. Als drittes kommen mit Coverversionen von Otis Redding und Love zwei Frühwerke als Single-Vinyl aus 1997 dazu. Die drei Teile werden erstmal in einem exklusiven Paket erscheinen, wobei nicht feststeht, wann und ob die Sammlerteile bei uns erhältlich sein werden.
